Online University

Posted by Mamalot On June - 26 - 2011ADD COMMENTS

Time flies so fast and I feel terrible that I can’t still drive and have no job yet. I am done with my citizenship and been wanting to drive and work so I can start taking some course online. I already found an online university that I would like to go to. It’s called “Western Governors Online University”, a fully accredited online university that offers online bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. I am so excited to start but before that, I just need to go to work first and earn so I have money to use for everything that I need for school.

I’ve heard that Western Governors online university offers an affordable tuition and a flexible online study that would be great for people like me who are going to work and study at the same time. I am planning to get a day job so I can do school works at night.

Using Electric Grill

Grilling BBQ pork, chicken and beef sounds really good and it is healthy too. It taste a lot better if you grill using charcoal but on times where it’s too hot or cold to grill outside, I prefer using electric grill. I rather use electric grill than freeze outside when it’s cold or get sunburn when the weather gets too hot.

But you can always use electric grill outdoor too if you hate to mess up with charcoal. Electric grill are easy and faster to use and it is less messy too.

This Dimplex Convertible (Manual Control)Electric Grill in the picture I attach has cool features. It has a manual cooking mode that can allows complete cooking control. This grill cooks your food evenly.

I really hate it when I can barely hear what I watch. For some reason some videos, tv shows and movies I am watching online have low volume. I really need to get a laptop speakers so I can enjoy my shows even better. I prefer to get a wireless laptop speakers so I don’t have to drag annoying wires every time I want to change location around the house. Thanks to “The Source” website, I found what I have been looking for. It’s one of the best place where you can buy cool gadgets, electronics and accessories!

My twins are only two, so I’m still extremely protective and worry so much about them getting little bumps and bruises while they’re playing. I want to teach them how to be safe having fun so that we won’t have to worry about accidents and right now I’m focusing on water safety.

I was looking up some ideas about what to do to do this and while I was doing that I saw the siteĀ Wirelessinternetproviders.net. I looked through it and after that I chose to change over our home internet service to it.

I found some child safety expert online that said that you should start out by using a kiddie pool and introducing your kids to the water with that. So I decided that’s what I’m going to do. I think that my kids are slowly getting comfortable with that. Maybe in a few weeks I’ll take them to the pool for the day so that they can get more of a handle on dealing in actual water. I bought them little life jackets and hope to sign them up for kids swimming lessons soon.

Bitter Melon

This is the fresh bitter melon (also known as “Ampalaya” in the Philippnes) that I bought from Hongkong market. Not all people know about this tropical fruit especially Americans as this is widely grown in countries from Asia and Africa.

Bitter melon fruit is used widely used in Asian cooking. In the Philippines, we both eat the bitter melon leaves and the fruits. We love to sautee bitter melon fruit with eggs and shrimp paste. We also eat it the fresh fruit with vinegar, onions, tomato and salt and pepper. Bitter melon leaves on the other hand is widely use for cooking “ginataang monggo”.

Bitter melon is also known to help cure coughs, cold, anemia and is said to help in preventing or counteracts type 2 diabetes and increases insulin sensitivity. In fact there are some company that makes bitter melon pills now.

Sugar Cookies

My sister and I were so busy almost the whole month of May, thinking and preparing the stuff we want to cook or make for my daughter’s birthday. I think we over did the whole thing knowing she’s only two year old but all the hard-work was all worth it because my daughter really had fun.

Anyway, sugar cookies was one the dessert we made for my daughter’s 2nd birthday. We figured out it was a cute thing to make and that kids love to eat them. But guess what? Even grown-ups loves it.

And here’s the supposed to be sun that looks like a smiley flower. Oh well it was still cute, it was just we didn’t have enough colors of icing to make a sun.

Here’s another cute design that supposed to be a bear but turns out to look like a monkey hahaha. Love decorating but hate it when you don’t have enough stuff you need to do what you are supposed to. But I guess that’s the fun part, creating something without any patterns to follow.

I think this is my favorite shape among the three as this is the only one that out what it should be.

Grilled Food Is Good

Grilling your food is not only healthy but also smell and taste so good especially if you make your own sauce. I so love homemade recipes and cooking. Glad to have a husband that’s not picky at all and would it almost everything that I put on the table. I said almost because he doesn’t like dried fish and salted shrimp paste. I can’t blame him though as it really smell bad for people who are not use to it.

It was one cold winter when hubby and I craved for grilled meat. It’s nice to have indoor grill as you can grill anything anytime you want.

Grilled shrimp in skewer with homemade sauce. My husband eat most of it with steamed rice.

And here’s my grilled pork that satisfy my craving that day.

Love this mango salad with onions, vinegar, salt and pepper.
